They play a large variety of jazz/improvisational-based music including original compositions, jazz standards, modern Brazilian jazz, New Orleans R&B, jazz versions of pop tunes by Radiohead and the Beatles…, jazz classics by Charles Mingus and Thelonious Monk… old-school Gospel, funk, jazz versions of modern classical pieces by Béla Bartók and Hector Villa Lobos…, avante-garde jazz, blues, and more…

Comprised of David Scoggin on piano and vocals, Jeff Addicott on string bass and vocals, and Theresa McCoy on drums and percussion, OPUS 3 can gear their material for maximum variety and artistry, or focus on standards from the Great American Songbook, or focus on jazz giants like Miles Davis, Bill Evans, and Horace Silver, or play all Brazilian Sambas, Bossas, and MPB, or became a Dr. John style piano trio with vocals. We’ve even done all Gospel church gigs.
